I have seen a lot of changes in the oil patch throughout my life. I was raised in oil country and graduated from Williston High School in 1971. I worked in different areas of the oil industry for years before I went on to get my law degree from Gonzaga University Law School in 1990. I came back home, became a member of the North Dakota Bar Association in 1991, and I have been practicing law ever since.

As an Oil and Gas Attorney, I’ve gained years of experience and acquired special in-depth knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry, including knowledge of transactional business relations between mineral owners, oil producers, and TERO contractors. I’ve developed a close relationship with major oil producers in the Williston Basin and completed several Drilling Title Opinions in the basin and litigated cases between oil field contractors. Essentially, many of my clients are either mineral owners, oil and gas laborers, or oil and gas producers. It has always been my goal, experience, and joy to work in and around the oil industry.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to help many individuals in family law. In the early ’90s, I worked for an insurance defense firm. From there, I grew my practice and was delighted to work for surrounding native tribes to develop my expertise in adoptions, parental rights, and ICWA relationships. It is a tremendous event when we can participate in creating a safe and loving family environment that blesses the parents and the children.
